Concept + Execution

Alcohol has long been used creative conduit by literary greats. This notion has been culturally welcomed and even celebrated. For some authors this conduit transcended into a substance dependency and ultimately alcoholism. Not only did alcohol detrimentally impact their careers and personal lives but in far too many cases resulted in premature deaths.

+ The author’s imagined workspaces use prop styling to reflect prolific works they wrote during their careers.

+ Author profile sections outlined micro biographies, prolific works throughout their careers as well as their ultimate cause of death.

+ Each cocktail recipe is featured that was historically documented as the author’s favorite cocktail.

+ Featured Authors: Brendan Behan, O. Henry, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Patrick Hamilton, Jack Kerouac, and Christopher Hitchens.

+ This book was entirely constructed and bound by hand.
